I found the problem. Microsoft disabled this feature in a security fix:
Microsoft Security Advisory: Vulnerability in TrueType font parsing could allow elevation of privileges Go to this website and disable the fix by clicking the "Microsoft Fix it 50793" button http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2639417
