SlideMaster: Date Placeholder, Footer Placeholder, Slide Number Placeholder?
In PowerPoint Template,
Slide Master mode, every layout, there are Date Placeholder, Footer Placeholder, Slide Number Placeholder. But why when I open the template as a new presentation file, are there not them in a slide?

Basically because the footers in 2007 on are a badly thought out nightmare. You need to go to Insert > Header&Footer to make them show.
