i am running windows vista home premium sp2 4gb ram, nvidia geforce 9500. when i try to open any of the office 2010 applications i get the message: this program does not have a program associated with it to perform thia action. i also get: this application failed because its side-by-side configuration is incorrect. i tried SFC/scannow and it reported no errors. i ran sxstrace and the output was this:INFO: Parsing Manifest File C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14\WINWORD.EXE.

i am not a programmer and am not sure how to correct this problem.

cant believe the problem is fixed. i installed call of duty black ops and it installed one of the vcredist files and office 2010 works works.
